Gymnastic Strength & Agility
Billy was a National Team Gymnast turned dancer/actor/circus and acrobatic character. He trained as a gymnast at the Olympic Training Center and became a member of the US National Team, an All- American and team captain at the University of Nebraska, where he studied advertising, marketing and dabbled in theater & dance. Billy and Gwyn met and performed in the early days of De La Guarda and also with Fuerza Bruta, Cirque du Soleil, Pilobolus, the Met Opera in multiple productions with Robert Lepage as well as in film and TV as stunt performers. They are also the co-creators and co-directors of Breaking Surface, a flying, dance-theater production that fuses acting, dancing, and acrobatics over a darkly flooded stage.
Float Fitness: Aerial Core
Gwyn was a contemporary dancer and aerialist turned actor/stunt woman. Both Gwyn and Billy were founding members of AiRealistic where they choreographed, rigged, designed and created full scale aerial work for many directors including; Julie Taymor (Midsummer Night's Dream at TFANA), Keith Warner (Andre Chenier at Bregenz Opera) and for many corporate clients. They founded 5th Wall Studio to return to their original intention of creating genre blurring live performances and to teach flying movement that cracks open the heart.
Float Fitness: Aerial Core
Rebecca received her BFA in Dance at The Ohio State University. She trained with Hubbard Street Dance Company and performed in Italy with Pro Danza Italia. Some credits include: Aerial Captain for Bizet's Les Pêcheurs de Perles at the Metropolitan Opera, Aerialist at the LA Opera, NBC’s “I Can Do That”, Off Broadway’s Rock and Roll Debauchery. Regional credits include: Spamalot, Legally Blonde, and West Side Story. Rebecca recently performed with 5th Wall Studio’s production of Breaking Surface. BENJAMIN E OYZON
Benny has been dancing and flying through the air as an aerial acrobat in NYC for over 15 years. He has had the pleasure of performing and rigging with ABCirque, Only Child Aerial Theatre, Kinesis Project, AiRealistic, Grounded Aerial, 2nd Species, The Metropolitan Opera, Gabrielle Roth, Forces of Nature, Dance Anonymus, Groove Hoops, and too many more. With Science Degrees in both Theater and Civil Engineering, Benny has now mainly shifted to the other end of the ropes. He is constantly creating different ways to find the beauty in nature, and the magic in physics.
Hammock Dance (Single Point Flow)
Amanda, E-RYT 500, has been practicing yoga since 1999. She got serious about yoga in 2007 after moving to New York to pursue a career in musical theatre. The classes she was taking as a way to rehab her dance injuries and stay fit, brought her solace and calm in the chaos of a hectic lifestyle. After realizing she was taking more yoga than dance or acting classes, she ended up moving to India to further her studies. She leads the Om Factory Aerial Yoga Teacher Training, and teaches on and mentors other teacher trainings in and around New York City. She tries to share the joy, peace and clarity she finds in her practice with her students, while encouraging them to enjoy their own experiences. You can catch Amanda flipping through the air, laying on a bolster or holding plank in the heat.
Sam is an aerialist, actress & artist based in NYC. Samantha studied in Theatre Arts — Performance, Directing & Design; and after graduating, unexpectedly found a passion in Circus and Aerial Arts. While she works with all apparatuses, she specializes in aerial hammock, sling, and harness work. Samantha teaches aerial arts to young children and adults around the city. As well you can catch Samantha performing around the city in spaces such as Duane Park, Slipper Room, & House of Yes, as well as various private corporate events/gigs. She loves creating! Whether putting an act/show together, making costumes, building puppets, you name it! As well, Samantha is a painter, typographer, and muralist.
SARA SOLARIS ZEPEZAUR
Zepe, a classically trained ballet dancer for over twenty years, is a movement and visual artist originally from the West Coast. Currently, Zepe can be found teaching adult and children’s classes at the Muse Brooklyn, the Muse Gowanus, and Fifth Wall Studio.Today, Zepe is the proud owner and director of Circus Solaris, a movement company specializing in aerial dance theater and site specific performance. Zepe has choreographed and produced for: ABC’s Good Morning America, New York City Dance Parade, Pandora Radio, Theater for the New City, Tribeca Film Festival, Canon, Wild ‘N’ Out, LUST NYC, The Illuminati Ball, Ziegfeld’s Midnight Frolic, Queer Coney, and has performed on the stages and in the ceilings of the Liberty Theater, Weylin, Paramount Theater, House of Yes, Kings Theater, and Capitale to name a few.
